Foot Health Appointment FAQ’s

Here you will find the answer to some commonly asked questions about our foot health service

Do you come to my home?

I only offer home visits, so you will be treated in the comfort of your own home.

How long will the appointment last?

Please allow approximately 1 hour for an initial consultation and around 30-40 minutes for any follow up appointments.

Where should I sit for the appointment?

Find somewhere comfortable for yourself to sit with a good light source. You do not need a foot stool or somewhere for us to sit as we will bring our own. We can help you work out the best set-up in your own home at the initial consultation.

What should I wear?

Ensure that your clothing allows easy access to your feet and lower legs. Remove any stockings or tights beforehand. We can assist if you need any help with removing and putting on socks and footwear.

Should I soak my feet first?

It is preferable at your first appointment that you do not soak your feet first to allow accurate assessment of your skin condition.

Do I need to remove nail polish/gel?

Please remove any nail polish or gel before the appointment so we can properly assess the condition of your nails.

Can my pet be in the same room?

Please keep pets out of the treatment area. This is for hygiene and safety reasons.

Is there anything else I need to do to prepare for my appointment?

At your first appointment be prepared to answer questions about your medical history, activities and foot health. If you are on any medications, having your prescription to hand can speed up the process of taking your medical history. Remember to update us if there are any changes to these. We will usually ask to see your footwear and observe your walking as well.
